"I find it absolutely disgusting you're taking zero responsibility and having zero empathy in regards to this person's situation. Its 2025 and soon to be 2026, you mean to tell me that State Farm doesn't have a system designed to automatically notify policy holders of policy changes? Freaking Netflix has that capability. Additionally, you are indirectly implying this is all her fault without actually saying it. "We sent a revised billing notice", to what, her old home address? Despite telling you and her new agent she's in the process of getting a divorce? Nah, your system has the capability of making notes in someone's account, you could've just as easily annotated this information, reached out "LIKE A GOOD AGENT WOULD", when there was a change to the policy. I would find it a little strange if another policy holder made changes to a joint account after prior notice they are in the process of separating, no? How naive do you have to be to just assume both policy holders would make decisions in the best interest of each other? Obviously, you're biased towards their ex, or you're sexist towards women. Like a bad neighbor, State Farm is not there, especially Glenn Waterhouse."

"I’m really frustrated with how my auto insurance situation has been handled by State Farm. Back in July, I notified the company that my husband and I were separated and I wanted to get off our shared auto policy. I was told that since the policies were bundled with our homeowner's insurance and I was still on the house, I would need to wait until our divorce was final. I did exactly that, but none of this was marked in my file. A couple of weeks ago, I went to another State Farm office in my new town and was told it would take some time to remove me from the policy, fine, I understood. But then today, I found out from said agency, that my now ex-husband changed the coverage on my car from full to comprehensive back in July. This is the car I still have a loan on and drive every day. When I raised this concern with an agent here at Glenn Waterhouse today, I was told that State Farm doesn’t notify both policyholders when changes like this happen. Honestly, I think that’s a terrible policy. My ex changed my coverage without informing me, and I was completely in the dark about it for over four months. I was told, “Well, he could’ve dropped your coverage altogether,” but that doesn’t make it okay to leave me driving around without adequate insurance for months. I’m really disappointed with the lack of communication and the way this situation has been handled. It’s not the kind of service I expect from an insurance company."

"Caitlin, I understand your frustration that the policy was changed and some coverages on your policy was removed by your former spouse during your separation. I am sorry to hear you found out about this when moving to a new office in your new town. Without upfront letting us know you have any concerns about your account, specifically a car, or certain policy that needs to be noted that you need to be called immediately if any changes are made, with contact instructions to contact you we would not be questioning or calling our insureds when a insured makes any changes on an account since they are both listed and have access and authority to make changes. We have no record of this on your account. When we get notified about divorces, until the divorce is generally final, the process to continue insurance while both people are either on a Title or Mortgage, is to keep both listed on the policies with both having permissions to make changes on an account unless otherwise communicated by both persons to do something different protecting both interests. Albeit you may have informed our agency of your initial separation, again without notification request if any car changes or insurance changes are made, please reach out immediately via phone call, email or in writing informing us we don't get involved with the divorce and can only hope during the divorce our policy holders only make changes that are in the best interest of both persons covered. On any policy change, we don't require both named insured to call into our office for verification since both are listed with permissions to make changes. State Farm also sent out a revised billing notice showing the decrease in premium which should alert something may have changed on your account. Again, I understand you were frustrated to learn of the policy change, I hope you can understand how our office handled the car change. Thank you for expressing your concerns. "The customer service of this office is amazing; they are always willing to help and answer any questions or issues I have had. My agent used to be Scott, but he either retired or moved on. Scott has always been super helpful, personable, friendly, and a guy who was on your side to help with anything he could. I recently reached out to Scott's number for help with switching a policy I have to a new location, and Keegan Simons answered; Keegan was awesome the few times we spoke! Very personable and went the extra mile like Scott would to explain everything and offer further clarification in areas I needed it. I highly recommend this office as they have always taken care of me, treated me well, and went the extra mile."
